THINK Tank, the 29th Annual Convention of the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities (CTD), will be held in Austin, TX on Monday-Wednesday, April 9-11, 2007. The 80th Texas Legislative Session will be in full swing and CTD will make sure you are prepared to participate! This year, CTD and the Brain Injury Association of Texas (BIATX) are partnering to put on what we predict will be one large, powerful convention!

And it is time for you to help end the State's offensive practice of claiming immunity from the ADA. Senate Bill 447 by Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa and HB1299 by Representative Mark Strama would waive sovereign immunity and allow suits to be filed in courts. These bills will be hard to pass and CTD needs all of you to help. Here's how you can make a difference and it will take only 10 minutes.

CTD member Mikail Davenport (Legless Lizard) was sent off to the start of the Legless Lizard Tour de Tejas in El Paso by fans, supporters, Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams, & Austin Mayor Will Wynn.
Our athlete with a disability departs from the starting line of the El Paso Marathon on Sunday, March 4, on a 25 day, 950 mile cycling trip without the use of his legs, ending at the RISE Center for Independent Living in Beaumont on March 29.
